Who is Omega X?

Boy group Omega X debuted on June 30, 2021, with a mini album “Vamos.” They made a speedy comeback on September 6 with a single album “What’s Goin’ On.” With two albums under their belt, the 11 members are determined to receive the Rookie of the Year award by the end of 2021.

Omega X sold out 20,000 copies of their debut album in the first week of release. They then doubled the first-week album sales of their comeback album, selling over 48,000 copies. The “Vamos” and “What’s Goin’ On” music videos recorded over six million and ten million views, respectively.

In 2021 alone, Omega X has been appointed as the ambassador for the Convention and Exhibition Center (COEX), which is the biggest underground mall in Asia, Jeju Tourism Association, Asia Exchange Association, the Association For International Sport for All and Gaea Mobile. Omega X has an MoU with the advertising agency DDB Korea.

All 11 members have previously debuted with groups that are now disbanded or inactive, including 1THE9, Seven O'Clock and Spectrum. Some members have also appeared on K-pop audition shows such as “Produce 101,” “The Unit” and “Under 19.”

Omega (Ω), the last letter of the Greek alphabet, symbolizes the end, and the letter X refers to the unknown. Combined, the group name Omega X conveys unlimited possibilities, their intent to be with the fans until the end, and their goal to become the “final boss” in K-pop.
